Founded on a passion to connect more anglers and outdoor enthusiasts to the water of Indiana, Two Forks is adding angling skills components to our services. We recognize that learning how to fish on a guide trip may sometimes not be enjoyable for the angler. For those who require introductory or intermediate skills we are providing two schools

Two Forks Fly Fishing School

Skill development and basic fishing: We will meet at water where you are able to return for practice. This may be a public or private lake or stream. We will meet three times. The first two meetings will focus on learning to cast/fish and understanding equipment choices. These meetings will last 60-90 minutes. If you need equipment it can be provided for the first meeting. This will give you an opportunity to learn about equipment and ask questions. We do not sell equipment but Indianapolis and other cities usually have places where you can make a purchase. When possible, please support your local tackle dealers.

The last meeting will focus on fishing skills. Depending on where we meet you may need clothing (shoes, shorts, pants) that can get wet. Some people may want to do the class with a friend or family member. Otherwise, the class is done individually.

The school tuition is $175 per person, payable here on the website.

Two Forks Warmwater Fishing School

The angler for this school goes has basic skills with rod and reel.  They may have had a beginning school in the past, fished a little but did not carry on with the sport.  If you are this person you may wonder how to start up again.  We want you to get back into the fishing.  This school is for you!

There will be two meetings for this school. The first meeting will be on a stream somewhere in central Indiana. We will do an equipment check, work on casting skills as needed and talk about bass habitat and behavior, fly/lure choice, and bite detection. When fishing from the bank of a pond or stream, everything is basically stationary. Fishing from a boat means everything is moving. Wind may be blowing, the target you want to hit may be on the right or left, trees are overhead, and there may be 1 or 2 other people in the boat that prefer you don’t hook them.

The second meeting will be a float on an Indiana stream.  This will be a full day of fishing and we will cover every aspect of fishing from a boat when floating down a stream. We will continue to improve casting skills, discuss bass habitat and hooking and landing fish. This school is limited to one person.

The Warmwater School tuition is $400, payable here on the website.
