Jason DeArman
Owner
Jason started fishing when his Grandfather “Pops” put a rod in his hands when he started walking. They fished the Bayou LaCombe in LA and Jason first understood the importance of the critical details related to life on the water. At ten, Jason was handed his first Fly Rod and Reel, and a passion was ignited. This passion grew in Montana during two summers spent fly fishing in Yellowstone and surrounding areas during college. Jason relocated from his Native Texas to Indianapolis, IN to court his wife Kara. Together they are raising their daughter Avery and son Charlie. Over the years, Jason has been focused on learning the West Fork of the White River. (grateful Kara is supportive of this pursuit) He’s been fishing this under appreciated river for the past 15 years in his Hyde Drift Boat. Two Forks was founded on a passion to connect more fishers and outdoor enthusiasts to what Jason believes is the best-kept secret in Central Indiana. Jason also serves as an instructor for the “Sports Fishing” class at Butler University.
It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions.
Kyle Schmedake
Guide
Kyle is a natural fisherman having developed a love for water and adventure at a young age. He spent his formative years with hobbies and sport centered around water. After graduating from Indiana University Bloomington he started as a professional fishing guide in Alaska and ventured to several different river systems from inland streams teaming with mouse-eating Arctic Grayling to tide water chrome-sided Kings on the swing. A decade later, Kyle realized just how good we have it here in Indiana and hung up the towel on the vagabond guide life to pursue Smallmouth Bass year round in the Hoosier state. When he’s not fishing he’s enjoying his beautiful bride’s cooking, flushing birds with his Pudelpointer Nellie, or jamming to “Goose” on the guitar.
Derrick Filkins
Instructional Director
My fishing journey began with using worms and bobbers to catch catfish in a river in Southwest Missouri, where I even raised my own worms. I landed my first trout at Bennett Springs, Missouri, using a size 14 treble hook baited with Velveeta cheese. I have fond memories of the two men who guided me through these early experiences. No matter what fishing method you prefer, I can help you become an excellent angler.
I managed FlyMasters for many years before I retired, consistently providing great service throughout my tenure. The physics of fishing have remained unchanged since I caught my first catfish. I can teach you both basic and advanced techniques, tailored to your experience level. Whether you’re interested in warmwater, coldwater, or saltwater fishing, my knowledge and skills are top-notch. I look forward to helping you gain the angling experience you seek.
